Japan Airlines has announced plan to further downsize its domestic fleet. It has decided to switch the aircraft used on two Shizuoka Airport routes to the latest regional jet Embraer 170

The two routes affected are Shizuoka-Sapporo and Shizuoka-Fukuoka (which are the only two JAL routes serving this airport), JAL currently uses a mix of MD-90 and E170 on the routes. But starting from November 1, only E170 will be used. Which means there will be no more J class available to/from Shizuoka Airport. The seats available will be reduced from 150 on MD-90 to 76 on E170. Below are the new flight schedules.

Shizuoka(FSZ)=Sapporo(CTS)
JL2857 (FSZ-CTS): M90->E170 with a new departure time at 11:25 (10 minutes later)
JL2858 (CTS-FSZ): M90->E170 with a new departure time at 13:40 (5 minutes later)

Shizuoka(FSZ)=Fukuoka(FUK)
JL3810 (FSZ-FUK): M90->E170
JL3818 (FSZ-FUK): M90->E170
JL3811 (FUK-FSZ): M90->E170 with a new departure time at 09:35 (5 minute later)
JL3819 (FUK-FSZ): M90->E170

JL3814/3815 will continue to operate using E170.
