Cease of JAL First Class Lounge and Sakura Lounge operation at London Heathrow

Japan Airlines will cease its operations of the JAL First Class Lounge and Sakura Lounge at London Heathrow airport from December 14 2009. Eligible passengers will be invited to use the British Airways' Galleries First and Galleries Club lounges instead.

According to the press release, changes have also been made in Milan, Moscow and Paris, and Frankfurt, which JAL is currently renovating the lounges to emulate the ones at Narita.

I am not complaining about this. I am pretty sure the newly opened BA lounges are way better than the JAL lounges. After all Heathrow is BA's hub and they should have a better offering than JAL which just operate one daily flight (after they cancel the second daily flight to Tokyo in December). For details, you can refer to the JAL press release.
