Even the Sky Manga are all in Japanese for now. I believe they have mentioned IFE improvement in their mid term management plan but not sure if it's only a MAGIC-III to V upgrade or actually provide more contents. But with JAL SKY Wi-Fi on the 777-300ERs, I would just go online if there's nothing to watch on the IFE :PJALPakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18275507697266262766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9114924665202151676.post-68160155817973279472012-11-01T22:40:22.737-07:002012-11-01T22:40:22.737-07:00I flew on the 787 from NRT-BOS, and although I rec...I flew on the 787 from NRT-BOS, and although I reckoned the air treated my skin better, I was quite disappointed by the AVOD. It worked well, sure, but there was barely a selection of anything in any language (I'm not looking for EK/QR, but having even a TPAC UA 777's equivalent amount of AVOD would suffice). The same goes for NH too.

I like JL a lot (the flight attendants IME have been affable, particularly when I engage them in Japanese; Sky Time is a treat; no one barks at me to sit down. Though, due to the dearth of programming available on the pair of Japanese carriers, I prefer to fly them once I've reached East Asia, not necessarily to it from the US.

On the other hand, JFK usually commands "snazzier" birds, so should a non-stop be available from there, I'm game.
