Yesterday I reported that Japan Airlines (JAL) has painted one of its domestic Boeing 777-200 with special Disney livery to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Tokyo Disney Resort. Today JAL finally releases more details on this special livery dubbed "JAL Happiness Express" and held an event at Tokyo Haneda to officially unveil the plane.

Japan Airlines (JAL) finally reveals the long awaited special JAL x Ghibli special decal JET 787 livery for the SORA wo TOBU project (it means Fly the Skies project) today. The SORA wo TOBU project is a collaboration between JAL and Studio Ghibli aiming to bring you the "Dreams, Joy and Delight of Flying the Skies". JAL has been showing some special inflight programs created by Studio Ghibli is the past couple of months, including an exclusive short animate created by director Hayao Miyazaki. Another part of the collaboration was to hold a drawing competitions for kids and use the winning entries to decorate a special 787 plane.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Tokyo International Airport, aka Haneda. Japan Airlines (JAL) has recreated the inflight meal on served on their first international flight to San Francisco during the Sky Day Festival 2011 on October 21 2011.
