I have just received an e-mail from Japan Airlines (JAL) about the commemorative discount offer on the new San Diego - Tokyo Narita route which is scheduled to launch on December 2 2012. For a limited time, American region JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) members who purchased their economy class tickets that has JL065 and JL066 as part of their eligible itinerary to Japan and Asia will receive 10% off the base fares.

Japan Airlines has issued a press release (in Japanese) regarding 28 day advance purchase business saver fare...Starting April 1 2010, the weekday fare will be lowered by 5,000 yen! So how much will you save if you wait till this price cut kicks in?

When I visited the English version of Japan region website of Japan Airlines, I noticed a nice new change. JAL has put up four new pages for some domestic campaign/new service in English! In the past, JAL usually only have Japanese version of these news. Maybe JAL has listened to what I complained about when I filled up the online survey last year :P The four campaigns/sales are: Birthday Fare, Tokubin 3 Sale Fare, JAL QuiC Touch & Go Boarding, QuiC & McDonald's Promotion. They are probably not news to Japanese members, e.g. the McDonald's campagin has been running since November last year. But until now, all of the information was only available in Japanese :) Below are the details:

The popular birthday sale for domestic tickets is back! Japan Airlines will bring back this once popular birthday promotion from April 1 2010. On top of that, JAL is running a birthday upgrade to domestic Class J promotion for JMB Japan members.
