The new lounge service will start at Aomori Airport from April 1 2015 when the Aomori Airport Lounge reopens. The lounge is operated by Aomori Airport Building Co. Ltd. so this will be a shared lounge. It is located on the 2nd floor and will open from 1 hour before the first departure till 15 minutes before the last departure.

Even though it is a third party operated lounge, the normal JAL lounge access policy will apply. This means passengers with JMB Diamond, JGC Premier, JMB Sapphire, JAL Global Club, oneworld Emerald or oneworld Sapphire status plus 1 guest are eligible. Passengers traveling on domestic First Class or have a same day international Business Class and First Class connecting are also eligible.

JAL will finally renovate the old international Sakura Lounge at Osaka Kansai Airport which has very limited offerings at the moment. The renewed lounge will continue to use the "modern Japanese" concept as seen at the new international lounges at Tokyo Haneda Airport. As seen in the mock up, the design is very similar to the ones we see at Haneda.

The renewed lounge will be at the exact same location of the existing lounge, which is located on the 2nd floor of Terminal 1. It be more comfortable and will have a buffet counter, lockers, and photo booths. Renovation is scheduled to complete in July 2015. JAL will release more details on the enhanced Sakura Lounge at Kansai in June.
