JAL and JetBlue to start interline agreement on Feb 15 2012

Japan Airlines (JAL) and JetBlue will start their new interline agreement on February 15 2012. This means JAL passengers traveling to the US can now connect to JetBlue's domestic flights on a single ticket. And to celebrate this new partnership with JetBlue, JAL is launching a fee waiver campaign too.

The new agreement will first launch at New York JFK and Los Angeles gateways. And of course, as reported back in May 2011, when JAL launches its Tokyo Narita - Boston route, the agreement will cover BOS as well, allowing passengers to connect easily to a lot of East Coast cities.

So to celebrate this new interline agreement, JAL has decided to run a rather lame campaign. Passengers who calls JAL US between Feb 15 and Mar 31 2012 to book a ticket that includes a JAL on-line transpacific sector and a connecting JetBlue segment at JFK, LAX and BOS will have their ticketing fee waived...wow a USD20 saving!! I bet you can save even more if you go book it through a travel agent such as JTB! And note that if JAL website supports booking JetBlue sectors, you can always book via the website without paying for the fee.
