AIR YOSHINOYA is back for a limited time!

Japan Airlines (JAL) will bring back the popular AIR YOSHINOYA once again as the 10th installment in the AIR SERIES, a special Economy Class and Premium Economy inflight meal which JAL collaborate with well-know restaurants and food chains. AIR YOSHINOYA will be served between September 1 and November 30 2013 on select long-haul flights from Tokyo Narita to Europe and the US.

Although the press release states this is the 2nd time JAL and Yoshinoya collaborate together, this is in fact the 4th time JAL serves AIR YOSHINOYA onboard. First it was served on select long-haul flights departing from Japan during March 1 and May 31 2012. Due to its popularity, JAL brought back AIR YOSHINOYA on JL061 from Los Angeles to Tokyo Narita between September 1 and November 30 2012.  The third time AIR YOSHINOYA was offered was during December 2 2012 and February 28 2013 when JAL celebrated the launch of the Tokyo Narita - San Diego route. It was served on flights JL065 from San Diego exclusively.

Just like the previous AIR YOSHINOYA, JAL has carefully selected the ingredients to create this perfect beef bowl onboard and have paid attention to every single details. The same packaging that separates the beef and sauce from the rice will be used so that passengers won't be getting soggy rice. With this special JAL original package, passengers can enjoy AIR YOSHINOYA in multiple ways. You can put the beef on top of the rice to create a beef bowl or simply separate the beef and eat it as a beef plate with steam rice. Also you can add the ginger, spices and pickles from Yoshinoya as you wish. On top of that, you will also get extra sauce than the usual beef bowl due to the low cabin humidity!

AIR YOSHIONYA will be served as the 2nd meal upon in Premium Economy and Economy Class arrival on flights from Tokyo Narita to Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Boston, New York, London, Frankfurt, Paris and Helsinki between September 1 and November 30 2013.
