Change in JMB Accrual Chart for Air France Flights from September 1 2011
Japan Airlines (JAL) has changed the JMB miles accrual chart for Air France (AF) flights from September 1 2011. This is due to fare realignment on the AF side. Below are the new and old charts for comparison
Travel Together! JAL Domestic Award Ticket Special Discount Campaign
Japan Airlines (JAL) has added another campaign to the JAL Mileage Project 2011. This time is discounted domestic awards if you travel in group of 2-4 people between June 27 and July 31 2011. You will be able to fly to zone A and zone B (roundtrip) with as little as 8,500 and 10,000 JMB miles respectively! That's a saving of 3,500 miles for zone A and 5,000 miles for zone B. Reservation starts at 9:30 on April 27 2011 (JST).
For more details you can refer to JAL website (Japanese/English). Notice the banner on the English website shows the wrong information right now. 8,500 and 10,000 miles should the correct numbers, not 7,500 and 8,500 miles :)

Request for post flight credit online after your international flights (Japan members only?)
At least for Japan region JMB members, you will be able to request your post-flight JMB miles online. JAL will roll out that feature in mid Feb. But this is limited to international flights only for now.
For JAL Group international flights, you can request the post flight credits from 5 days after your flight until the 6-month deadline.
For JMB partner flights, you can request the post flight credits from 14 days after your flight till 6 months after.
For details, you can refer to JAL website: http://www.jal.co.jp/jalmile/use/int_flight_mile.html (Japanese)

Fly On Points Bonus update
Japan Airlines (JAL) finally got back to me yesterday regarding whether booking class 'X' qualifies for the 400 Fly On Point (FOP) bonus. It took JAL two weeks to confirm this as they were confused themselves about this change. And as expected, the new business booking class does qualify for this bonus. So below is the JAL Mileage Bank miles and FOP summary effective April 1 2010
JAL Global Club challenge
No this is not the kind of challenge on AA in which you only have a fast track to attain your status. Since Japan Airlines announced the changes in JAL Global Club (JGC), a number of people have asked me similar questions: What is the cheapest way to obtain JGC. So I have started a thread on FlyerTalk JAK Mileage Bank forum.
More booking class and Fly On Points bonus updates
Talk about being sneaky! Japan Airlines has updated its previous announcement no booking class/JMB miles accumulation rate changes and the Fly On Point (FOP) bonus campaign page without publishing it on the front page (at least I didn't see it). I only found out about the changes when I looked at the new JAL ex-US fares from April 1 (yes, they are changing the fare rules).

WOW Japan Airlines really delivers its promise of miles will be easier to earn! JAL keeps adding new campaigns to their Project 2010 page. If you feel being left out as a regular JAL Mileage Bank member yesterday, don't worry, JAL has not forgotten about you. To make up for this, JAL will give you double miles!
JMB devaluation coming
Japan Airlines has announced mileage accumulation rate will be revised from April 1 2010.
Business class "I" fare accumulation rate will be reduced from 125% to 70%. Further revisions for applicable JAL Economy class for mileage accumulation will also be revised on/after April 1 2010. JAL will announce the details in January 2010. This is definitely bad news :( You can view the full announcement on JAL website.
