Japan Airlines (JAL) is one of the official partners of the new Tokyo Sky Tree, the tallest tower in the world. To celebrate the scheduled opening of Tokyo Sky Tree on May 22 2012, JAL will paint a Boeing 777-200 (JA8978) with a special JAL x Tokyo Sky Tree Livery.


JAL plans to operate the JAL x Tokyo Sky Tree Jet between May 1 and October 31 2012. The commemorative flight is still yet to be announced. But it will mainly fly between Tokyo Haneda (HND) and Sapporo Chitose (CTS), Osaka Itami (ITM), Fukuoka (FUK), and Okinawa Naha (OKA).

Just like other special livery, the only special part is the high quality 3M stickers at the rear part of the fuselage. The Tokyo Sky Tree logo is printed as shown below.

Inside the cabin, once again you can find special headrest used in the economy class and class J cabin. Tokyo Sky Tree logo is printed on these special headrests.
