JAL Group Route, Flight Frequency & Fleet Plan for 2011
Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced its 2011 route, flight and fleet plan for 2011. There will be frequency changes, new routes in 2011. Not mentioned in the press release is the upgrade of YVR flight to user the latest regional product: JAL Skyrecliner and state of art MAGIC-V with touch screen monitor in widescreen aspect ratio. Below is the summary of the route plan.
JAL will closely monitor performance on each route and implement a system such that they will know the performance of the individual route the next month so they can better adjust the capacity, opening new routes, etc and therefore further improve profitability.
Due to increased in demand, Narita (NRT) - Moscow (DME) frequency will be increased from 2 weekly to 3 weekly, Haneda (HND) - Honolulu (HNL) will see capacity increase, and First and Premium Economy service on NRT - Jakarta (CGK) will continue. Domestically, JAL will take advantage of the increased slots to improve customer convenience.
