It's this time of the year again. 2010 JAL Scholarship Program is accepting applications. This year's theme is "Tourism and cross-cultural understanding". Selected recipients will be awarded an all included 17-day trip to Tokyo and participated in this cultural exchange program.
The 17-day trip includes:
- Lectures for Globally Minded Citizens
- Students Sessions (group discussions)
- Asia Forum take place in Kanazawa
- Field Trip to location outside of Tokyo
- Home stays
You need to enroll in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate program and be at least 20 years old at the time of the cultural exchange. All you have to do is to write a 400-word essay about this year's theme and submit it to participating universities (at least that's what they do in Hong Kong). For details of this, you can refer to the application form for the Hong Kong region available on JAL Hong Kong website. To view reports and photos of previous years' scholarship program, you can refer to JAL Foundation website.
Too bad, I never qualify because I studied in the US. Otherwise I would have applied :(
