Japan Airlines is celebrating its 40th year of servicing Australia this year. JAL started the Tokyo-Sydney service on September 30 1969. This year, JAL will introduce its 777 and 767 aircraft on Sydney and Brisbane flights respectively. To celebrate this special occasion, JAL is offering a special promotion fare for flights departing from Australia.

From now till July 31 2009, economy class passengers from Australia can fly to Tokyo from Sydney and Brisbane for AU$777 and AU$767 respectively. There is a minimum 5 day stay requirement and the ticket is only valid for 28 days. JMB members can earn 70% mileage on these tickets. Tickets will be on sale until July 31, 2009 and is valid for travel until September 30, 2009. You can visit JAL Australia website for more details on the promotional fare.

I like how they price the tickets recently. First, they have final 747-300 flight package from JALPAK is 74700 yen for child, and now AU$777 for introductory of AU$777 to Sydney and 767 for introductory of 767 to Brisbane. Can I ask for a USD777 ticket which will give me 70% miles on LAX and ORD flights since they are introducing 777-300ER on these routes on October 25? LOL
