Route and frequency changes for first half of FY2010
Japan Airliens has just announced its route and frequency changes for the first half of fiscal year 2010. Some of the suspensions have been announced by JAL earlier, some of the suspension/frequency decreases are continuation of previous ones. But there are also frequency increases on some routes probably due to JAL's withdrawal from nearby airports (e.g. Kobe vs Kansai and Itami).
INTERNATIONAL PASSENGER FLIGHTS
Frequency Decreases
Tokyo (Narita) - Shanghai
- Decrease from 28 to 21 weekly flights from March 28 2010.
- Suspension of JL619/610.
- Continuation of suspension from Feb 1 2010, which was announced in December 2009.
Tokyo (Narita) - Sao Paulo via New York
- Decrease from 3 to 2 weekly flights from March 28 2010.
- Continuation of suspension from Feb 1 2010, which was announced in December 2009.
Frequency Increases
Tokyo (Narita) - Ho Chi Minh
- Increase from 6 to 7 weekly flights from March 28 2010.
Tokyo (Narita) - Hanoi
- Increase from 3 to 7 weekly flights from March 28 2010.
Tokyo (Narita) = Guam
- JO941/JO942 will switch from 747-400 to 767-300ER from March 28 2010.

So still no announcement of the which 14 international and 17 domestic routes are to be suspended. Maybe we will have to wait till June when JAL file the restructuring plan with the court to find out...For now, your travel plan should be safe till June :)
